Jon Korner is the sole owner and operator of Eye Spy Inspections, LLC, and he single handedly built the business from the ground up. He is a graduate of Inspection Certification Associates, where he received his inspection certification. Jon is a certified and licensed Inspector, serving northwest North Dakota and Eastern Montana. Jon was born in Minot and raised locally in Williston, ND. He graduated from Williston High School in 2002 and worked in the construction trade and in the local oil and gas industry for many years before starting Eye Spy Inspections, LLC.
Jon is dedicated to providing a thorough and professional inspection, as well as educating the client (buyer or seller) on the maintenance and operation of all major components of your property. Jon's philosophy about the role he plays in all inspections is simple: he puts himself in your shoes, treats you how he would want to be treated, and provides you with a service that you can trust. Each inspection provides our client with an unbiased and professionally prepared report on the condition of all accessible components of the property. Our clients receive peace of mind that the property they are purchasing has been inspected to the highest standards by following the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) standards of practice.
In Jon's free time, he can be found on the open road in his 1967 Chevelle or his 1964 Impala (a car his Great Grandmother purchased brand new). Jon is also an avid collector of old advertising signs, gas pumps, service station related items, and any other old "junk" that may catch his eye. Jon has amassed a very large collection of these items over the years and knows the story behind nearly every piece. Old cars and signs are Jon's truest passion in life.
Jon loves traveling internationally, attending any concert possible, and little random road trips with "The Little Picker", an enclosed trailer he cleverly dubbed for adventure after adventure seeking to find his treasured old "junk". Jon's mission to save Americas antique treasures have taken him to many states. From Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, the Dakotas, Minnesota, Iowa, and as far away as the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee, and of course all the places in between. Jon loves saving history, meeting new people and telling anyone the story of each piece in his collection, with hopes to one day own his own bar or restaurant to showcase these incredible pieces. If nothing else, a museum as they really are a sight to see!
Jon has a very close-knit family that he is very proud of, incredible friends that feel like family, and he enjoys any opportunity to spend time with them. Jon also has an avid passion for hunting and anything pertaining to the outdoors. He enjoys riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and attending any auctions possible to find the next hidden deal.
Jon has been an active member, and has served on the board, of Basin Kruzers for nearly a decade. Basin Kruzers is a local non-profit classic car group that raises funds through many different events and donates these funds back to local charities and families. Jon is also an active member of ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) and the Williston Board of Realtors.
Jon supports and donates both his time and money to many local charities not only personally, but also through his business, Eye Spy Inspections, LLC. Some of these monetary donations include support to the Williston Fire Department, Basin Kruzers Car Club, Williston Community Builders, Josh Otteson Memorial Golf Tournament, Chokecherry Festival, Veterans Day Giveaway's, and most recently to the Upper Missouri Regional River Dispatch Center.
Jon is also very passionate about the success of our small towns and their local businesses. Jon made the decision over a decade ago to shop only at locally owned businesses. Jon finds it crucial to do his part by helping to provide other small businesses with as much success and support as he has received with his small business.
